Environmental Health Program
The mission of the Environmental Services Division is to protect and
promote the health and safety of all the people within its jurisdiction by
controlling elements in the environment that are, or have the potential to be,
harmful.
This is accomplished by a variety of monitoring programs such as the inspection
of schools, swimming pools, spas, vending machines, restaurants, food
establishments, tattoo/body piercing operations, jails, manufactured home parks,
recreational vehicle parks, camps, nuisances, premise code violations demolition
disposal facilities, infectious waste generators, solid waste disposal
facilities, and waste transfer stations. The installations of water
supply, sewage disposal, and plumbing systems are permitted and inspected to
assure compliance with all state and local laws, rules and regulations.
