Help Me Grow

 

Help Me Grow is under the direction of C.O.R.E. (Children Offered Resources Early), the county collaborative group. C.O.R.E. is a sub-committee of Fayette County Family and Children First Council.

C.O.R.E. offers parents and caregivers services and resources to promote the development of their children and well being of their family.

Services that C.O.R.E. offers through the Help Me Grow program include:

Service Coordination

Developmental Screenings and Evaluations

Prenatal & Newborn Home Visits

Trained specialist to provide play activities to encourage development

Center-based Early Intervention services

Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapies

Home Visits

Playgroup

Family Support

Pre-School Assistance

Whom To Refer:

Children experiencing:

-Health or medical concerns

-Prenatal/neonatal/postnatal complications

-Environmental concerns

AND/OR

Children with significant delays as demonstrated by failure to achieve the following milestones:

-Sit independently by 8 months

-Crawl independently by 10 months

-Walk independently by 14 months

-Babbling by 6 months

-Pointing by 1 year

-Understanding simple commands at 1 year

-10 word vocabulary by 18 months old

-Eating with spoon or drinking with cup independently by 18 months

-Toilet training by 3 years old

AND/OR

Children with established disabilities, such as:

-Blindness or deafness

-Cerebral palsy, epilepsy, etc.

-Any syndrome

-Mental retardation

Help Me Grow provides a wide range of services for children under the age of three who qualify for Help Me Grow.
